Privacy Policy

Bidness collects as little as it can: a borrower can post with only an email, and their name and phone go only to the one lender they choose. This policy explains what we collect, who sees it, and your choices. It applies to joinbidness.com and the Bidness app.

What we collect

  • Waitlist: email, whether you are a borrower, lender, agent or other, your state, and for lenders an optional company or NMLS ID.
  • Borrowers: your email to sign in; the scenario you post (goal, state, property type and use, loan size, down payment or equity, self-reported credit range, timeline, income types and amounts, debts, savings, co-borrower answers, an optional current quote, and your story); your chats and feedback. When you choose a lender: your full name and, if you give it, your phone number.
  • Lenders: name, company, NMLS ID, work email, licensed states, programs, years in business, reply time, profile text and photo; your pitches, fee sheets and chats.
  • Automatically: sign-in records and basic technical logs our providers keep to run and secure the service. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. We will update this policy before adding any.

We never ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, property address, or race, ethnicity, sex or marital status, and we never pull credit.

How we use it

To run Bidness: match scenarios to lenders licensed in that state, deliver pitches and chats, share contact details when a borrower chooses, send the emails described in our Terms, verify lender licenses, show ratings, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with marketers or for cross-context behavioral advertising. Lenders are not charged per lead or per borrower.

Service providers

We use companies that process data only on our behalf: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, in the United States), Cloudflare (website hosting), Resend (email delivery) and GitHub (our code; no customer data). We will list any new provider here, such as a payment processor or text-message service, before we use it.

How long we keep it

Scenarios, pitches, chats and the ratings tied to them are kept for 12 months after a scenario closes, then deleted or de-identified. Waitlist entries are kept until we open in your state or you ask us to remove them. Accounts are kept until you ask us to close them. Security and audit logs, including records of staff lookups, are kept for 24 months. We keep anything longer only where the law requires.

Your choices and rights

  • See, correct or delete your information, or close your account, by writing to privacy@joinbidness.com. We reply within 30 days.
  • Opt out of non-essential emails. Sign-in codes and account notices are part of the service.
  • Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you added rights, such as to know, correct or delete your information, or to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising (we do neither). Email privacy@joinbidness.com to use them. We verify requests through your account email, accept requests from authorized agents with proof, and never treat you differently for using your rights.

Security

Access is limited by database rules that keep contact details hidden until a borrower chooses. Data is encrypted in transit; secrets are stored encrypted. Admin lookups of contact details are logged. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at security@joinbidness.com if you find a problem.

Children

Bidness is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes and contact

We will post changes here and, for material changes, email account holders. Questions: privacy@joinbidness.com. Last updated: October 22, 2026.
